Every democratic government has to decide and execute accordingly the public interest. Vested interest, corruption or power abuse are the danger of new democracies like those from the ex URSS countries. Individual participation as citizens has the effect of create a government ethical attitude. Also the international community develops legal instruments as Treaties and Conventions to prevent the threat of the democracy.

I think that America would be best served by Obama leading a massive interstate half-pipe maglev train highway system. I feel that Obama truly wants what is best for America. So, I suggest that the government bank-roll the private sector, with the Army Corps of Engineers to oversing, construction of a massive maglev train network. The technology has already been in use for a decade or more; And, the cost of construction has limited its growth.
